Project in progress

This project is a collaboration with Stek, Nijmeegs Jantien, and Kouros Atelier.

With the masks, I aim to give a face to the people living on the streets while still safeguarding their anonymity. Their identity is embedded in the masks, as they were created from the letters of their names. They need a better future!

Based on the idea that we—all human beings—essentially form one single tribe and share a single unconscious... and if we all reconnect with that unified unconscious field... then we can all flourish. And to crawl out of the trap that tricks us into believing we are lacking something.

We are all missing pieces as long as we do not move as an organism.

This painting took on the appearance of a mill, which for me personally is a perfect link to the mill from my native village, which had the beautiful appropriate name 'De Hoop', which means hopeful in Dutch.
