The Deep Secret of Self-hate

Bearing in mind the story of Wodan from Norse mythology, who sacrificed himself to himself and hung upside down for nine days from the world tree Yggdrasil, and then, in exchange for one eye, he received wisdom in the form of nine branches. I based this painting on these nine branches, nine lines, because with them you can create the grit of this snowflake. The shape of the hexagram! With this shape, from the flower of life, from which Metatron's Cube emerges, the structure by which the entire cosmos is constructed. And throughout this shape, you can also find all the symbols of the runes, which I enjoy working with, because they represent all the words through which all thoughts are formed, every vibration, becoming reflections of all the sounds that create the entire cosmos.

This is the deeper meaning of this painting: if we disconnect from ourselves, we cannot create. But when we are, when we think, speak, and create from our true essence, we are connected to the gods who created it all through us.

This is the underlying meaning of this God Wodan, who is the same as Hermes Trismegistus, Thoth, Kukulcan, Djehuty, earthly angel Metatron* and many more…

The deep secret of self-hate,

sacrifice yourself to yourself…

Carl Jung discovered that there are parts of ourselves we are aware of and parts we are unconscious of. Everyone who has been socialised, so everyone, has gone through the process of splitting themselves up. You have pushed those parts that were disapproved of by your up-bringers away from yourself into your subconscious. This disapproval of the self is the root of self-hate. And the unbearable emptiness within us is the result of the missing parts of ourselves. The soul wants only one thing: to make us whole again. But to become whole again, we must be willing to acknowledge and face the aspects of ourselves that we have disapproved of, as a part of ourselves again.

If you know a little how our protection mechanism works, than you know that even self-hatred is based on love. When they still hate us after we get rit of all our parts, by hating yourself, you protect yourself from the hatred from others. Self-hatred is a very clever self-defense tactic. Your enemy won't do anything to you as long as you are already wounded. But it's not so easy to get out of it without the knowledge of the love aspect from these mechanisms.

*Metatron's cube, this snowflake shape, represents the blueprint of creationAccording to sacred geometry it symbolises balance and harmony, illustrating how all life is connected. The five Platonic solids which are the sacred geometry shapes, the building blocks of the entire universe, are also constructed from this shape.
